Song of the Moment XXI: Finger Eleven’s “Slow Chemical”

I’m supposed to run errands today, but they were rescheduled for tomorrow. Thank goodness for avoiding errands at least today because today’s temperature outside is 35°C. 35-fucking-degrees-celsius. It feels hotter than that though, but good grief.

After writing that, I’m dreading tomorrow, and tomorrow’s weather could be worse. I must endure the heat while I run errands. (Yes, I will bring my umbrella when I walk on the street. But what if I go to an establishment with A/C problems? I must expect the worst.)

And I can imagine Kane (kayfabe half-brother of The Undertaker) making the temperature worse when he walks through the entire city and flames burst from concrete. That is why my current Song of the Moment is “Slow Chemical” by Finger Eleven, one of Kane’s theme songs.

Happy humid Monday. And no, I’m not in the mood to write an April Fools’ Day post today. Maybe next year.

10-Minute Warning CXIII

So, what can I tell here under 10 minutes?

Well, sad news: The lowest point of my life happened 5 years ago today, March 25. I’m supposed to reminisce that day through a blog post, but… I can’t finish it today. My mind and heart can’t finish the story today. I’m not even sure if I can tell the story this Wednesday or Friday, but I’m sure there will be a trigger warning before the post.

And some good news: There was reason for me to be happy yesterday, March 24, because it was the 59th birthday of my all-time favorite professional wrestler, Mark Calaway AKA The Undertaker. Happiest birthday, Taker! I hope you had a blast!

And time’s up.

Song of the Moment XVI: Metallica’s “Seek & Destroy”

In light of Sting’s retirement last Sunday at All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Revolution, let me share one of his entrance themes, “Seek & Destroy” by Metallica – a song that was played on his last entrance. (And he walked down to the ring with his sons dressed as Surfer Sting and Wolfpac Sting. Iconic.)

Thank you, Sting. You had an amazing career and you have given so much to pro wrestling. You are THE Icon. Enjoy your retirement, sir.
