XXVI: A Peaceful Friday Lunch… Until Motörhead Played

Last Friday, after struggling at work, I had the most amazing Japanese lunch ever… and an almost embarrassing incident.

But before we talk about that, let me bring you back to Thursday.

10-Minute Warning CXLVI

All right. What can I share here in under 10 minutes?

Firstly, I would like to share why I did not blog last Wednesday: I don’t feel like blogging that day. I just wanted to finish last month’s billings and then watch the 1st season of Designated Survivor. (Thank you, Younger Brother, for recommending the show to me.) I waited until today to get my blogging energy back.

Speaking of today, what about it? Well, I ran an errand then continued watching Designated Survivor with my Father. And at dinner time, we had some tuna and salmon sashimi, Jack and Coke Zeros, and Cointreau with my Mother. As I’m typing this, I’m drinking my 2nd Jack and Coke Zero, but now I’m watching a different show: Season 3 of Lucifer.

I failed to meet my monthly blog count last month, and I don’t want that to happen again. So I must push myself to keep blogging this month and beyond. And maybe I should mix up my content a little… maybe publish more Notes to Self or create a new blogging series on The Diary. Fingers crossed.

And time’s up.

Song of the Moment XXXI: James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful”

I just came back from Tokyo, Japan with my family this morning. How was the whole vacation? Japan blew me away. The cool summer weather made it bearable to walk for miles, the food – especially their sashimi – was amazing, I bought a lot of souvenirs and Foo Fighters albums without breaking the bank, and all of the tourist spots we went to were breathtaking. The only downside of the trip is that 5 days is not enough to enjoy Japan.

Well, I take it back. There is another downside at least on my end. After having dinner at a Saizeriya in Shibuya, I saw a beautiful girl walk inside the restaurant. She has the face of an angel. 23-year-old Deranged Writer might have the courage to approach her, but now I know better and just let her be.

To the girl I saw in Shibuya, I want to let you know that you’re beautiful and I would like to know you more. But then I quote the last 2 lines of James Blunt’s most famous song…

But it’s time to face the truth
I will never be with you
