The American post-grunge band 3 Doors Down is an important part of my high school soundtrack, and “Here Without You” (the third single from the band’s second studio album, Away from the Sun) reminds me of a turning point in my life as a teenage student who was starting to fall in love and as a fan of professional wrestling.

XLV: Full Circle IV: The Diary’s 3rd Anniversary

Today is the third anniversary of The Diary, my main home on the World Wide Web. I don’t think I have ever reached a third anniversary post on any of my older blogs, but here we are! I’m truly happy about this milestone.

And since we’re talking about numero tres, let me randomly pick three of my favorite written posts. Funnily enough, they were all published in 2025, and each represented three sides of me: the light, the dark, and the absurd. (And I also explained why I remember writing them fondly.)

Notes to Self XXV

Last night, I was in a reflective mood while I was scrolling through my drafts. Then I found something worth filing under the Notes to Self category. It was a quote I would always bring up on my social media accounts and one of my old main blogs (which preceded The Diary), but I never really explained it personally. Since I’m still in a reflective mood tonight, I figured I should bring it up one more time and finally expound on it.

The quote? It’s a line CM Punk (who was slowly growing out of The Nexus and had entered his Best in the World era) said to Mr. McMahon during a contract negotiation on an episode of WWE Raw in 2011.
