Finally, 13 blog posts in August 2024. Now I can go back to my regular blogging schedule this coming week.
Anyway, how was my weekend? Well, nothing much. I slept almost all day, bought some burger steaks at Jollibee for the family, and then watched Jackpot! on Prime Video. Jackpot! is an action comedy film starring Awkwafina. It also has John Cena on it, but I can’t see him during the movie. Nonetheless, it was ridiculously fun.
Next on my watchlist tonight: Samaritan. It’s a superhero film starring Sylvester Stallone, and the plot piqued my interest. And I may or may not have another Jack and Coke Zero while I watch the film. Fingers crossed.
I feel so lazy updating my blog tonight, but I have to reach the 13-14 post goal before August ends. 1 more post tomorrow and I will reach 13. I need to push myself, man.
Anyway, what do I want to talk about in under 10 minutes? Well, I needed to wake up early and order an urgently needed part at work. After that and a little editing, my work was done, and then I ran a few errands with my cousins.
After running errands, I started my weekend by watching again a few episodes of Person of Interest. I’m currently on the 5th and final season, and I’m excited and sad about the end of binge-watching my favorite series of all time. That’s all right though because I can just re-watch it for the nth time or watch a different favorite series.
As I’m typing this, I just finished watching the kickoff show for WWE’s Bash in Berlin while drinking a refreshing Jack and Coke Zero. I can’t wait to see the next WWE PLE (Premium Live Event) tomorrow.
After my recent mental health issues, I totally need a distraction. And for some strange reason, I remember Ghost’s cover of a Roky Erickson song, “If You Have Ghosts”. It’s the 1st song from Ghost’s 1st EP If You Have Ghost, released in 2013. And now I’m listening to it repeatedly as I type this post.

1 reason Ghost (a Swedish heavy metal/hard rock band) became one of my top 10 favorite bands of all time is their cover of “If You Have Ghost”. Their take on a psychedelic rock song is so different compared to the original, and I love it. When I listen to the song, I feel like I have everything.

Another thing I love about Ghost is their acoustic performance of the song for HardDrive Radio’s YouTube channel – a video I always rewatch. I’m amazed at Papa Emeritus III’s vocal power and the Nameless Ghouls’ acoustic guitar skills in the video (especially at 1:36). Check out the video below.

And to close this post, who’s the producer of Ghost’s entire EP If You Have Ghost? My hero, Dave Grohl. Nice. No wonder I love the EP and Ghost themselves.
