Notes to Self XXIV

For those who have been following The Diary since February 2023, you have read my struggles with Steinermania. Almost everything reminds me of the craziest professional wrestler, “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner. I even have a hard time computing simple math because my brain has been conditioned to remember Steiner Math instead.

That’s why it’s been difficult typing my first Notes to Self of 2026. Then again, I had to write this because the leading expert in Steiner Math has said something unbelievably profound on X (the social media site formerly known as Twitter), even if it’s wrapped in typical Steiner promo fashion.

10-Minute Warning CXXXVII

I feel so lazy updating my blog tonight, but I have to reach the 13-14 post goal before August ends. 1 more post tomorrow and I will reach 13. I need to push myself, man.

Anyway, what do I want to talk about in under 10 minutes? Well, I needed to wake up early and order an urgently needed part at work. After that and a little editing, my work was done, and then I ran a few errands with my cousins.

After running errands, I started my weekend by watching again a few episodes of Person of Interest. I’m currently on the 5th and final season, and I’m excited and sad about the end of binge-watching my favorite series of all time. That’s all right though because I can just re-watch it for the nth time or watch a different favorite series.

As I’m typing this, I just finished watching the kickoff show for WWE’s Bash in Berlin while drinking a refreshing Jack and Coke Zero. I can’t wait to see the next WWE PLE (Premium Live Event) tomorrow.

Happy weekend, everyone!

I: One More Start

So, here I am again, resetting my blog, The Diary. I lost count of how many times I reset my blog for my mental health, published a few posts, and then lost my way. Why do I keep failing to update my blog frequently?

After reflecting, here are my reasons:

  1. I have too many grand plans for the blog, but lack execution.
  2. I can’t even make time for blogging, but I can make time for everything else. (I do write in my Moleskine planner/journal more often. Sorry, Diary.)
  3. I’m scared that I will make a mistake in my posts.
  4. I try too hard to write lengthy posts.

So, now that I’m resetting The Diary, this is what I will do this time:

  1. I will have simple, more achievable plans for the blog and truly execute them.
  2. I will dedicate at least one hour to blogging daily on my laptop or phone. But I will only publish posts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
  3. I will rely on apps like Grammarly to avoid typos. But if I still make mistakes, those mistakes will serve as lessons. Besides, it’s my blog, my mistakes.
  4. I will take it easy and write short yet more personal posts. After all, The Diary is my personal blog. I will write lengthier posts when I’m truly inspired to do so.

Now that I know how to do better, here’s to one more start—a better start.

Hi. I’m The Deranged Writer, and welcome to The Diary.
