Song of the Moment LI: Coheed and Cambria’s “God Send Conspirator”

Sorry again for the lack of updates lately, Diary. One reason behind that is laziness. But since I promised to meet my monthly blog count and have only blogged 5 times so far this month, I’m forcing myself to write tonight until the end of October.

Anyway, recently I finished listening to Linkin Park’s most recent studio albums: Living Things, The Hunting Party, and One More Light, and it was a wonderful sound journey. And last Monday I moved on to another favorite musical act: the progressive rock band Coheed and Cambria. I started listening to their 1st studio album The Second Stage Turbine Blade, but I never finished it until tonight. As I type this, I’m listening to the album’s last track and a favorite Coheed track of mine, “God Send Conspirator”.

An audio of Coheed and Cambria’s “God Send Conspirator”.

That is all for now. See you tomorrow.

10-Minute Warning CXLI

So, what can I tell here under 10 minutes?

I’m not going to lie. I have felt physically and mentally tired for the past 2 weeks. That’s why I have not followed my blogging schedule again. That’s why it was a struggle for me to do my daily routine.

But what keeps me going are my recent “lamp posts”. The 1st lamp post: My Father bought ice cream for me last Monday afternoon. I don’t know why you did that, Father, but thank you. I appreciate it very much. And my 2nd lamp post: my weekly affogato at Satchmi. Now my week is complete, and it’s only Tuesday. To my favorite cafe, thank you once again.

Another lamp post: the half-shell Deadpool mask that I ordered last August. I think I will get it by October or November, so I should wait and keep going. I’m so excited to wear it soon; I call it an early birthday gift to myself.

And time’s up.

Song of the Moment XLIII: Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die with a Smile”

Now that the weekend has begun, I’m enjoying a glass of my favorite Jack and Coke Zero while listening to my new favorite song, “Die with a Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

If the world was ending
I’d wanna be next to you
If the party was over
And our time on Earth was through
I’d wanna hold you just for a while
And die with a smile
If the world was ending
I’d wanna be next to you

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die with a Smile”

I never expected this collaboration of 2 ultra-talented icons, but I’m so glad they teamed up. I can’t get enough of the soft rock instrumentals and the relevant lyrics hit my very heart. “Die with a Smile” may be my favorite song of 2024 yet.

Now let me drink and listen to this song in peace. Happy weekend, everyone!
