If you’re going to ask me what my favorite song of 2025 is, it’s definitely the second Foo Fighters song they released that year, “Asking for a Friend”. I love the music so much that I wrote a love letter about it, and I have heard it 700+ times as I type this entry. (Thank you for keeping track, Last.fm.) I also assigned it as one of my alarm clock tunes along with “Run” (my favorite track from the album Concrete and Gold) and “The Pretender” (my all-time favorite song). Those are good reasons already for it to be my Song of the Moment.

I was curious if the universe and Spotify would deliver at least one perfectly-timed song, so I hit shuffle again.

Finally, the weekend is here, and I’m about to have a celebratory Jack & Coke Zero tonight. (This is also in celebration of the Foo Fighters’ 30th anniversary.)
But first, let me have a short rant about something that happened at work several weeks ago. (If you don’t want to read my short work rant, just click here.)
