Song of the Moment XLVIII: Linkin Park’s “The Messenger” (Again)

Once again, Linkin Park’s “The Messenger” is my Song of the Moment. Why? It soothes my heart which has been aching for weeks, and I will need to listen to it more in the coming days.

When you’ve suffered enough and your spirit is breaking
You’re growing desperate from the fight
Remember you’re loved and you always will be
This melody will bring you right back homewa

To my loved ones, I’m holding on. I’m really trying to hold on.

Song of the Moment XLVII: Linkin Park’s “The Messenger”

Hello. Sorry for being silent the past several days. I’m at another low point and I don’t want to discuss it here on The Diary yet.

But here’s what I can share now: I’m listening to 1 of the saddest yet hopeful Linkin Park songs ever, “The Messenger”. It’s an acoustic song and the last track from LP’s 4th studio album A Thousand Suns.

When life leaves us blind
Love keeps us kind

I need to hold on tighter. I need to.

Song of the Moment XLVI: Linkin Park’s “The Emptiness Machine”

Tonight, let me enjoy the incredible energy and sound of “The Emptiness Machine”, the newest song from one of my top 5 favorite bands of all time, Linkin Park.

After 7 long years, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, and Joe Hahn are back with a new co-vocalist and drummer, Emily Armstrong (of Dead Sara) and Colin Brittain, and I’m so happy about their return. I love the new single “The Emptiness Machine” (it’s on repeat as I type this), and the band’s performance on their recent concert livestream is breathtaking. They still sound perfect live, and Ms. Armstrong’s vocal ability (especially when she sang the LP classics) made their performance sound fresh but still passionate. I’m sure our beloved Chester Bennington is so proud and smiling from above.

I’m so pumped for the upcoming Linkin Park album From Zero (which will be released on November 15, 2024), and I hope the band includes the Philippines in their world tour soon.

Welcome back, Linkin Park!
