10-Minute Warning CLX

I will make this quick.

I was supposed to exercise or drop by my favorite cafe tonight, but I chose neither because I had a stressful day at work. Normally I could handle the stress of working on multiple tasks, but today’s stress is… something else. It’s the kind of stress that left me feeling unhappy and unmotivated even if I had a long and productive day at work.

So, tonight I chose to munch on a few cheese slices while watching a South Korean dark fantasy series called The Judge from Hell. I’m currently on episode 3. See you tomorrow, I hope.

Song of the Moment LXV: Them Crooked Vultures’ “Mind Eraser, No Chaser”

I said I would listen to at least one different music artist per week, and last Monday I listened to all of Spice Girls’ studio albums. (Yes, I listen to Spice Girls. Deal with it.) But because January 14 is Dave Grohl’s birthday, I had to set the iconic English girl group aside and listen more to the bands throughout Mr. Grohl’s career – iconic grunge band Nirvana, my favorite band of all time Foo Fighters, and my favorite rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures.

As I type this, I’m drinking my favorite Jack and Coke Zero while listening to “Mind Eraser, No Chaser”, the second song from Them Crooked Vultures’ self-titled debut (and only) album and my favorite song from them. Mr. Grohl’s team-up with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin is mind-blowing. I hope they will reunite and make another record.

10-Minute Warning CLIX

So, what can I share here under 10 minutes?

In my first week of 2025, I feel so inspired to write in my actual diary and planner, make a few drafts here on The Diary, exercise at home and at my favorite jogging path, and work for the family business. I feel so productive and fine overall.

In my second week so far though… not so much. I mean, I’m doing all right with my diary/planner writing and at my day job, but I’m not doing well with exercising and writing here on The Diary. My blog post count for January 2025 so far is 3 (including this post) and I have 0 workouts this week. This sucks. I need to push myself further. Maybe another hangout at my favorite cafe will motivate me…
