XV: Song of the Moment XLII, Deadpool Cosplay Plans, The Movies I Watched This Week… and More Deadpool

Hello, Diary!

It has been a long time since I wrote a blog post that is not written under 10, 30, or even 60 minutes, so I will make the most out of this. Buckle up because this is going to be a long post.

And here we go…

Song of the Moment XLII

So, what is my Song of the Moment now? Since I’m in a good mood today, I’m listening (again) to one of my favorite songs ever and CM Punk’s theme song, Living Colour’s “Cult of Personality”. (The 2023 remastered version, that is.)

This is the 3rd time this song became my Song of the Moment. You can check my 1st 2 posts here and here.

Deadpool Cosplay Plans

Last July 31, I said I was planning to buy a Deadpool half-shell mask from a local maker. Well, last Friday (August 9), I finally paid for the mask and it’s currently being made. Having my own Deadpool mask has been my dream for years; I’m so excited to have it, wear it, and talk about it on The Diary soon.

So, will I cosplay as a variant of The Merc with a Mouth? Hell yes!

(Spoiler warning if you have not seen the 1st Deadpool film.)

Since I don’t have a full suit yet (and it will take a long time to acquire one), I might go with the version seen in the post-credit scene of Deadpool – the one inspired by Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I already have a white T-shirt, and I will look for a black/red striped/grey bathrobe and black motorcycle gloves (as a substitute for Deadpool’s actual gloves). And since we can’t see Deadpool’s bottom wear and footwear during the post-credit scene, I will go for some comfy pants and perhaps some bunny slippers or Crocs.

But if I can’t find the items for my Ferris Bueller Deadpool cosplay soon, I will just come up with something else. At least I will have the most important piece of the cosplay soon: the Deadpool half-shell mask.

Wish me luck!

The Movies I Watched This Week

The final trailer of Deadpool & Wolverine.

Deadpool & Wolverine

Speaking of Deadpool, I watched Deadpool & Wolverine for the 3rd time last Monday. That’s after having dinner at my favorite cafe Satchmi. And yes… 3rd time. What can I say? The latest and 1st R-rated film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has turned into a comfort film of mine, and I might go for round 4 or 5. But for now, I’m working on a movie review.

The official trailer of the British buddy cop action comedy Hot Fuzz (2007).

Hot Fuzz

As for the other movie I have watched this week, it’s another comfort movie I have seen more than once: Hot Fuzz. It’s a British buddy cop action comedy, and I have seen it more than 15 times – more than any movie I have ever watched. And this week, I watched it with my cousins, and we all enjoyed it.

Will I ever stop rewatching Hot Fuzz? I don’t think so because it’s a great action comedy film and it helped me go through my 1st noted fight with depression. Hot Fuzz will always have a place in my heart.

And that’s about it! I enjoyed writing a lengthier personal post for a change after making a hundred Minute Warning posts, and I hope to create more soon. (Fingers crossed.) I also hope to finish my Deadpool & Wolverine review soon. (Fingers crossed on that, too.)

Now that I’m done, let me enjoy an ice-cold Jack and Coke Zero. The weekend begins.

Happy weekend, everyone!

The Deranged Writer

Yes, he wears a mask sometimes. And according to most people, he looks like Bruno Mars when he is unmasked. Absolutely deranged, below-average writer.
