10-Minute Warning CLXXXIX

Hi, Diary. What can I type in under ten minutes?

After a whirlwind set of days filled with Foo Fighters euphoria, wandering around Singapore in a short period of time, returning to Manila, and then returning to my normal routine, my body’s truly waving the white flag. My muscles are still a bit sore, and my throat hurts. (In the first few days of having throat pain after the Foo Fighters show at the Singapore Grand Prix, I sounded like Lemmy from Motörhead.) And today, I’ve been coughing. Perhaps you can say that now I’m a flu fighter. And I’m fighting the flu with Bioflu, some hot honey/citron/ginger tea, and lots of rest.

But then my Father ordered me to finish some paperwork this afternoon. He’s also my boss, so I can’t say no to that. At least the paperwork is easy though. I’ve done them before anyway. It’s like muscle memory.

Speaking of muscles, my arms are in more pain than usual. Fuck. Even if I have more things to say and my ten minutes are still not up, I need more rest.

And that’s my update for today. See you in the next post. (And I hope I feel better when that happens.)

10-Minute Warning CLXXXVIII

Wow. It’s been almost a month since my last Minute Warning post. What can I share here?

Firstly, my throat has been itchy since last Friday, and it must be because I ran errands in the gloomy weather. I had to run those errands. And today, I have been drinking more warm water and ginger tea mixed with honey and citron to speed up my recovery. Normally, I don’t drink many hot beverages, but I made an exception for today because I don’t want to enter the month of October with an itchy throat or, worse, the flu. The last months of 2025 will be an almost jam-packed month for me, so I need to be at least in good condition.

And, man… the tea I have been having today is delicious. I might drink more hot tea from now on. (Maybe more sencha green tea because that’s the favorite drink of Person of Interest’s Harold Finch.)

My ten minutes aren’t up yet, and I would like to discuss plans for the remaining months of 2025. But honestly, tonight, I’d like to rest more, drink tea, and finish Season 2 of 24. I’m just here to give an update on The Diary while I have the strength to blog. My condition might get worse tomorrow. Maybe not. I need to be prepared for the worst yet hope for the best.

See you in the next post.

10-Minute Warning CLXXVI

OK. What can I tell here in under 10 minutes?

Since April 29, I have been trying to sleep and wake up early. Truly. I have been drinking my nightly medicine at 9pm, and it helped me sleep early. But the downside of drinking my nightly medicine is that I sleep longer than I want to. Sometimes, when I drink my meds at 9pm, I also wake up at 9am. Sometimes, I drink my meds at 9pm, and I wake up early… but I feel dazed and confused after. That’s insane.

I feel like my body got used to sleeping more because of the meds, and as much as I love sleeping for longer hours (and I quote my therapist once again, “sleep is medicine”), I want to go back to the normal 8-9 hours of proper sleep. I need to talk to my therapist about adjusting the medicine intake soon.

In the meantime, I drank my nightly medicine at 8:30pm. Will this work? I will see about that. I don’t feel slee… oh, there you go. My fingers are getting numb now. See you in the next post.
