10-Minute Warning CLXIV

Hi. What can I write here under 10 minutes?

For the past 3 weeks, I have been sleeping for more than 8 hours and I still wake up later than usual. I’m grateful that my sleep is good, but it goes to the point that I wake up almost before lunchtime, and I could have spent the extra hours doing productive things instead of sleeping more. As medical experts would say, 8 hours of sleep is ideal. And I’m not really a morning person, but to help in the family business and be more productive overall, I need to practice waking up earlier again.

So, tonight, I’m doing my nightly routine earlier so I can sleep better and earlier and eventually wake up refreshed, energized, and, well, earlier. I’m almost finished with my nightly routine as I type this post, so I feel accomplished already. I hope I will get used to this change of habit in 3 weeks. Good luck to me.

Have a great week, everyone!

XVIII: Full Circle II (The Diary’s 2nd Anniversary)

2 years ago yesterday, I published my first post here on The Diary. And looking back at those 2 years… oh, man, I have been through a lot.

In my first year of blogging on The Diary, I promised myself to publish 13 posts per month and I will blog every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Thankfully, I reached my post goals and schedule mainly because of my Minute Warning series (where I write anything under time pressure under 10 to 30 minutes). And if I were to publish a longer post, I have a writing process that works. You can check my first-year retrospective on this post.

And today, in my second year of blogging at The Diary, I’m looking back and checking if my writing processes still work and if my blogging schedule still serves me well.

10-Minute Warning CXXVI

OK. What can I write here in under 10 minutes?

My normal Saturday would start by waking up at noon, having my 1st meal of the day, taking a bath, writing in my journal, and catching up on WWE SmackDown! via YouTube. But today, it started at 2pm. I overslept and somehow I feel bad about it.

So, tonight, I will do what I should have done hours ago – journal writing and catching up on WWE’s blue brand. But firstly I will buy some fried chicken from McDonald’s. I’m hungry.

And as of blogging here lately, I have been blogging for 5 days straight. That’s because I missed out on a few blogging days when I was in Tokyo with my family. So, good job, self!

See you tomorrow, Sunday.
