30-Minute Warning XXXV

So, what can I tell here under 30 minutes?

Well, my 14 Days of The Deranged Writer (2024 edition) has been going well so far; I have already blogged for 2 days straight, and have 12 more posts to go. I think that achievement deserves a toast. Good job, Dewey!

Moving on, I was about to write another lengthy post today, but my laptop’s battery was fluctuating again. The battery percentage went from 100% to 80% to 90% like crazy, and I figured I should turn off my laptop and wait for a few minutes before I restart it. I did that, and now my laptop’s battery is stuck at 0% even if there’s a charger plugged in. I’m totally worried.

With that, I have decided that for my 3rd entry of 14 Days of The Deranged Writer (2024), I will write this 30-Minute Warning post. I know that I should let my laptop rest for now, but I don’t have time to blog this afternoon. I need to write for 30 minutes and quickly design the post’s header image, so I will need to push my laptop a bit. Sorry, laptop. I will let you rest the rest of the day, I promise.

Anyway, I don’t think I blogged about this, but I ordered a few things as birthday gifts for myself. Firstly, I ordered a Deadpool from the Deadpool & Wolverine Funko Pop line (the one holding swords) from a local supplier, and I got the figure on the same day. Awesome. For a while, I thought I would never have one of my dream Deadpool Pops. This makes me happy.

And secondly, I ordered something from Amazon last November 16: Moleskine’s Classic 2025 Daily Diary/Planner (hardcover, large) and 3 Cahier Journals (pocket-sized, set of 3). I’m supposed to get them on Monday, but surprisingly I got them yesterday afternoon. For me, that’s fast! This makes me happy too because I want to be prepared for the upcoming year as early as this November or December. I want to jot down several important events and a few tasks (especially birthdays of loved ones) on my planner before 2025 starts.

Wait. If I already have a large daily diary/planner, what are the pocket journals for? They are my backup diary/planners whenever I don’t have my large planner in my bag.

Crap. My 30 minutes is up. I will talk about my Moleskine purchase soon, probably as part of 14 Days of The Deranged Writer (2024). But for now, I’m resting for the rest of the day and spending time with my family. See you tomorrow!

Notes to Self XIII

This post is a part of 14 Days of The Deranged Writer (2024 edition).

Last night, after a stressful but productive day at work, I started watching the animated series Batman: The Brave and the Bold on Max (formerly HBO Max). I’m so happy to have a Max account now, and it is refreshing to see a not-so-dark knight fighting evil with his fellow heroes such as Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, and Aquaman.

And then I stumbled upon the Christmas episode “Invasion of the Secret Santas!” This is perfect because it’s already the holiday season, and after reading the synopsis, I got excited about the team-up. So, I watched the episode, and in the middle of it, Batman (my favorite superhero) said something that went straight through my heart.

This is my 13th Notes to Self.

Spoiler warning if you have not seen the Batman: The Brave and the Bold episode “Invasion of the Secret Santas!”

10-Minute Warning CLI

Hello. Here I am again, struggling to complete my monthly blog count. But then again, why am I beating myself up again? This is my blog and I’m not a writing machine. I need to take it easy and cut myself some slack sometimes.

But wait. I think I can catch up on my blog count when I start the 2024 edition of “14 Days of The Deranged Writer”. In the aforementioned blogging series, I will blog for 14 days straight, starting from November 22 to my birthday, December 5. And to start the series, I will talk about my favorite attires of my all-time favorite professional wrestler, The Undertaker (who made his WWE debut on November 22, 1990).

See you tomorrow!
