Today is the third anniversary of The Diary, my main home on the World Wide Web. I don’t think I have ever reached a third anniversary post on any of my older blogs, but here we are! I’m truly happy about this milestone.
And since we’re talking about numero tres, let me randomly pick three of my favorite written posts. Funnily enough, they were all published in 2025, and each represented three sides of me: the light, the dark, and the absurd. (And I also explained why I remember writing them fondly.)

The Undertaker (An Acrostic Poem)
This post represents the darkness in me.
Every November 22 to December 5 (my birthday), I write for 14 straight days here on The Diary. I simply call the birthday blogging series 14 Days of The Deranged Writer. Of all of the 14 Days series I have ever written, the 2025 edition has to be my favorite so far in terms of content quality. The first entry pretty much set the standard of that series’ quality, and it’s an acrostic poem dedicated to my favorite professional wrestler of all time, The Undertaker.
I have wanted to create a poem for The Deadman for so long, but honestly, all of my initial drafts are terrible. So, I sat on it, then I wrote about other topics instead. Then, on the first few hours of November 22, 2025 (Taker’s 35th anniversary), while I was drinking The Devil’s Cup and listening to Undertaker: From The Vault (a compilation of The Phenom’s theme songs), an interesting idea popped into my head. Since I have been making acrostic poems in recent years, what if I were to make one using all of the letters of “The Undertaker”, then I channel my inner Lord of Darkness through that poem? Buzzed from my favorite alcoholic drink, I reached into the darkness for words, then I typed in the words I found as The Demon of Death Valley’s theme songs played in the background.
After that, because I was so buzzed from The Devil’s Cup, I slept for many hours, and I forgot to hit the publish button. But that’s a good thing to forget because I had to look at my acrostic poem with sober eyes, and when I reviewed it, it turned out great, and I honestly didn’t need to edit it at all! Lovely. After noting that it was The Undertaker’s anniversary, and adding the necessary featured image, categories, and tags, I scheduled the post at 8:00pm. (As of this point, 8:00pm is showtime for me.)
Of all the few Undertaker posts I have ever written, I’m most incredibly proud of the acrostic poem because I got to channel my inner Undertaker on that creative piece with the help of liquid courage and music inspired by death and darkness. That’s unforgettable for me.

XXX: Listen III: The Deranged Writer’s Top 6 Foo Fighters Songs of All Time
This post represents the inner light in me.
Like the aforementioned Undertaker-themed poem, I wanted to rank my favorite Foo Fighters songs for so long. Last July 4, 2025, in celebration of the legendary alternative/hard rock band’s 30th anniversary, I finally ranked my favorite Foos songs, and even though it was a difficult task, writing about it as a huge fan was absolutely fulfilling.
To stand out among the many top-ten song lists on the Web, I only picked six songs from the band’s vast discography. While I easily picked my top three (explanations and all), I had to deeply reflect on the other three. After much thought, I chose two songs from the double studio album In Your Honor and one song from the Saint Cecilia EP. If you want to know those songs, you’ll have to check out the post itself. (But if you have been following The Diary for a long time now, you have an idea of the top three.)
Perhaps in 2026, I will make an updated list because after hearing the latest Foo Fighters songs last year, I finally have a concrete top six. Watch out on July 4!

XXXII: The Deranged Writer’s Struggle with Steinermania I
This post represents the absurdity between the light and the dark.
One of my contingency plans for dark days was to watch something ridiculous… I mean, someone ridiculous. When I feel depressed, I watch videos of “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner go ballistic about math, tear out the concept of logic, and butcher the English language. Angry Steiner noise soothes my mind and soul.
And in 2025, I watched angry (yet therapeutic) Steiner videos way too often, so I ended up remembering Steiner Math because of basic math, among other things. Because almost everything now reminds me of The Genetic Freak, I had to label the condition Steinermania (inspired by Botchamania’s Maffew’s own Steiner botch compilations of the same name), then started chronicling my absurd Steiner moments with The Deranged Writer’s Struggle with Steinermania. In the first entry, I laid out some of the basic things that can trigger my Steinermania, like sirens and (as I mentioned before) basic math. (With my condition now, I believe that Steiner Math is Math.)
So far, I have three Struggle with Steinermania posts, and I love the first one the most because it’s the basic foundation of an insanely funny (and still ongoing) chapter in my life, and I can’t pass up the chance to share it in The Diary. Sharing my so-called struggle with remembering Freakzilla too often puts the “deranged” in my name, The Deranged Writer.
And those are my three random favorite posts from The Diary itself. It has been a thrill remembering those posts.
Maybe next year I will share four of my actual favorite posts. Perhaps I will go write something similar to The Diary’s first anniversary post (the lessons I learned in the past year, etc.). I’m uncertain of the topic for next year’s anniversary post, but the fact that I’m already planning far ahead shows one simple fact:
Reaching three years of blogging in The Diary inspires me reach the fourth year and beyond. Reaching such an incredible feat inspires me to keep on writing, living, and fighting. Here’s to more moments of writing with all my heart, living life to the fullest, and continuing the good fight… all while wearing my mask on. Or off. It depends.
Happiest third anniversary, my beloved Diary!
