30-Minute Warning XXVIII

All right. What can I write here under 30 minutes?

After a long, stressful day filled with errands, I went home and waited for the arrival of the 2nd version of my custom Funko Pop. I got the new Pop around 9pm via Grab Express, and… wow! I was amazed by its appearance. A very special thanks to Gino Roberto – the artist behind the 1st and 2nd versions of my custom Pop – for killing it! Before he made the figure, he told me that he would make a better version of my Pop, and he delivered! I’m looking forward to taking photos of it in my makeshift studio this weekend. I’m also excited to bring the new Pop to my Tokyo trip with my family this coming week.

What else? Well, since I’m going to Tokyo next week, I want to truly enjoy and document the experience while posting less. That means I might not follow my blogging schedule this coming week. I will still try to post 3 times during the week, but that’s it. And as for my socials (especially on Instagram), I will try to be more active there again. I will try.

In other news, I already started preparing the things I will bring to the Japan trip. My clothes are good now, though I still want to buy a new buttoned shirt. Maybe this weekend? Fingers crossed on that. As for my toiletries and gadgets, I still need to prepare those, and I might need to buy a new laptop bag so I can bring my laptop and be able to blog during the trip.

And that’s it. Happy weekend, everyone!

30-Minute Warning XXVI

I thought of skipping another blogging day because I have nothing to say other than that today is an ordinary day. I did my daily rituals, worked a bit, and that’s it… until I saw my laptop battery fluctuating tonight.

I have been using my Youngest Brother’s old laptop since last year, and the device has been through a lot. The left speaker is broken and I cannot use my laptop without its charger. Then tonight, while I was checking on my WordPress dashboard, my laptop suddenly shut down. Of course, I checked my laptop charger if it was loose and then opened my laptop again. After rebooting, I checked on my laptop’s battery percentage, and it was going up and down like crazy; it went from 98% to 100% per second. I freaked out. Good grief.

I tried to unplug and replug the charger, which solved the problem. The battery is steady again. Thank goodness. But I may need to thoroughly check my laptop (especially the battery) or buy a new one.

What else? Speaking of buying something, I might settle with the Samsung Galaxy S24+ instead of the S24 Ultra. I may need to check both phones again before making my final decision, but I have to decide before the end of May to get a discount. Samsung has a sale this month apparently.

And… that’s it. That’s all I can say for now. See you on Friday.

30-Minute Warning XXII

All right. Finally, I’m back to blogging. But I will make this quick because I feel I will get sick tomorrow.

Last Friday, our home Internet connection was down and it went back on Saturday evening. That was the longest time we didn’t have Internet at home in, perhaps, years? I don’t remember when exactly, but it has been a long time. As for my mobile data last Friday and Saturday, well… it worked and I can blog on mobile. But I don’t feel like doing that; I want to blog on my laptop as usual.

What else happened last Friday? Oh! I needed to go out and pay something for the family business, and then I had a late lunch at my favorite restaurant, Gringo.

Wait. This is the 1st time I mentioned Gringo here on The Diary, and it is my favorite restaurant. Why is that? Because I rarely eat there, even if it’s my favorite. My visits there are extraordinary – notably, I had my 32nd birthday dinner there with my favorite and a few of my closest friends. But since I have been mentally unwell recently, maybe I should go to Gringo more often? Like, once a month?

A weekly visit to my favorite cafe Satchmi, and a monthly visit to my favorite restaurant Gringo… that sounds like a great idea.

As for what I had for late lunch at Gringo, I had a Hungry Plate 2 – char-grilled chicken, chili con carne taco, and a bacon cream fusilli. And I had an iced tea as my drink. I feel like I’m in heaven after my lunch. Yes.

What else happened on Friday? Since our home didn’t have Internet but we still have cable, my cousins, Younger Brother and I channel-surfed, and we settled for HBO and watched Inside, a psychological thriller starring Willem Dafoe. And because the Internet connection sucked, I didn’t check the synopsis. I only checked the movie’s genre, but that’s it. And it made the whole movie viewing more enjoyable while we munching on nachos and gulping ice-cold Jack and Cokes.

And that’s it. I need to rest. I really feel like I will get sick.
