XVIII: Full Circle II (The Diary’s 2nd Anniversary)

2 years ago yesterday, I published my first post here on The Diary. And looking back at those 2 years… oh, man, I have been through a lot.

In my first year of blogging on The Diary, I promised myself to publish 13 posts per month and I will blog every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Thankfully, I reached my post goals and schedule mainly because of my Minute Warning series (where I write anything under time pressure under 10 to 30 minutes). And if I were to publish a longer post, I have a writing process that works. You can check my first-year retrospective on this post.

And today, in my second year of blogging at The Diary, I’m looking back and checking if my writing processes still work and if my blogging schedule still serves me well.

10-Minute Warning CLIX

So, what can I share here under 10 minutes?

In my first week of 2025, I feel so inspired to write in my actual diary and planner, make a few drafts here on The Diary, exercise at home and at my favorite jogging path, and work for the family business. I feel so productive and fine overall.

In my second week so far though… not so much. I mean, I’m doing all right with my diary/planner writing and at my day job, but I’m not doing well with exercising and writing here on The Diary. My blog post count for January 2025 so far is 3 (including this post) and I have 0 workouts this week. This sucks. I need to push myself further. Maybe another hangout at my favorite cafe will motivate me…

And that’s all for now.

10-Minute Warning CLII

Crap. I almost forgot to blog today. Good thing it’s still at 11:00pm. And this post is the 4th entry of the blog series 14 Days of The Deranged Writer (2024 edition).

I had another productive day at work today. I finished the proposals quickly and ordered a few items a few hours before closing. I’m supposed to run an errand, but I can do that tomorrow and then I have my weekly affogato at my favorite spot.

After work, I had to watch the Filipino romantic drama film Hello, Love, Goodbye so I don’t feel lost while watching its sequel Hello, Love, Again with my Mother, Younger Brother, and cousins tonight… and then movie night was postponed because of work. Oh, well. At least I’m still prepared for the sequel. Maybe we will watch it next week.

Wait a minute. The Deranged Writer is into romantic dramas? Not really. But my loved ones wanted to watch one, so I had to join them. And it’s refreshing to watch something I don’t usually watch.

Anyway, to end the day, I walked and jogged at my preferred jogging path. I’m glad I got some exercise tonight, and I will do that again soon.

And time’s up.
