Tonight is New Year’s Eve, and as I welcome 2026 with open arms and a worried yet excited heart in a few hours, I would like to close 2025 with a new Notes to Self that tackles about remembering… well, choosing what to remember.

Hello! This is The Deranged Writer, and welcome to the 4th edition of Notes to Self, a blogging series where I remember a relevant quote from any form of media or someone I know in real life.

In the previous edition of Notes to Self, I quoted my favorite Doctor from the longest-running sci-fi TV show Doctor Who, The Eleventh Doctor. And in this edition, I’m quoting him once again.

Notes to Self III

Last February 6, 2023, I made a promise to myself: blog more often again. I started by launching a blogging series called Notes to Self (where I remind myself of a relevant quote from any form of media or someone I know). Today, I’m celebrating my 1st month of frequent blogging here on The Diary. I’m so proud of myself because it’s been years since I’ve blogged religiously. (I think the last time I’ve done that, Tumblr was in its first or second year of existence.) And no, I’m not planning on stopping soon.

Anyway, let me celebrate my first blogging monthsary with the third edition of the same blogging series I started here in The Diary. I want to quote one of my favorite lines from the longest-running sci-fi series in the world, Doctor Who.
