Song of the Moment LV: Linkin Park’s “Two Faced”

I’ll make this quick because I just finished listening From Zero, the new Linkin Park album released today, and I will go for another round because I love the entire record. But if I were to pick a favorite track (right now) that I will listen to on repeat all night long, it would be “Two Faced”. Listening to it made me feel like a 10-year-old because it reminded me of the old-school, heavy Linkin Park – Mr. Hahn’s turntable scratches and all. I’m on cloud nine, man.

And have you seen the music video of “Two Faced”? Linkin Park members in suits… I approve.

Now I will go back to listen From Zero all over again. Happy weekend!

Song of the Moment XLI: Teri DeSario’s “Fallin'”

One of the things I loved to do as a child was listen to the radio before going to sleep. One of the songs that really stuck with me was “Fallin'” by Teri DeSario, a song that deals with falling in love and having second thoughts about it.

Of course, when I heard “Fallin'” as a kid, I had no clue what love was. I don’t even have a crush at school at that time. But Ms. DeSario’s soft singing and the perfectly mellow instrumentals stuck in my mind and heart and I didn’t need to fall in love to appreciate the song. And when I did fall in love a few times, I went back to listening to “Fallin'”, making the song more relevant in my life than ever.

But since Thursday, I have been listening to Teri DeSario’s “Fallin” for a different reason. And that’s…

Song of the Moment XII: Enya’s “Anywhere Is”

I have been listening to Enya’s songs since last night – notably “Anywhere Is” – and it has been an otherworldly experience. Her music is so ethereal and relaxing (partly because I grew up listening to her), and I can’t get enough of it. I should check out her other albums soon.

I walk the maze of moment
But everywhere I turn to
Begins a new beginning
But never finds a finish

That is all.
