The revolving door keeps working
Various characters come and go
Whatever role they’ll be playing
Relative, friend, lesson, or foe
The constant revolving door brings
People who will carry your burden
They’ll inspire you to keep walking
When you fail, they’ll easily pardon
The constant revolving door brings
People who’ll gain your very trust
Then break your heart without warning
Dispose of the shards if they must
The constant revolving door brings
People who’ll boil your very blood
Who’ll blind you from wisely thinking
You’ll want to push them to the mud
The constant revolving door brings
People who’ll bring both joy and woe
Like life, you’ll feel both of those things
Choose if you want the bond to grow
The constant revolving door brings
Vibrant beings or haunting ghosts
They’ll make you feel you’re worth loving
Or bring moments that make you choke
The constant revolving door brings
People with temporary roles
While their limited time might sting
Their lessons feed the mind and soul
The revolving door keeps spinning
Various figures that come and go
Whatever role they are playing
They’ll be there ‘til the final show
