Song of the Moment CXIX: Jim Johnston’s “Death Is My Best Friend”

Trigger warning: Themes of depression and death. Please be advised.

Jim Johnston’s “Death Is My Best Friend (Undertaker Tribute)”.

I’ve talked about having another rebirth last weekend, but shortly after that period, I’m back in the dark. Sadly, sometimes rebirths don’t assure a better life ahead, and in this kind of struggle, I have to do it alone.

I might as well stay in the void and speak to the one thing that will truly bring me comfort—death.

Everything that I have ever known
I found along this lonesome road
‘Cause I was born to walk all alone
Through this light that I call home
Through this light that I call home

No matter what I do, no matter where I go, all roads lead me back to the darkness, my constant home, and in here:

There will be no end
‘Cause death is my best friend

Good night.

The Deranged Writer

Yes, I wear a mask sometimes. You can call me Dewey. Absolutely deranged, below-average writer.
