10-Minute Warning XL

Nothing much happened besides doing some work and my usual daily routine today. So, instead of what I can share today in 10 minutes, maybe I should share my plans for tomorrow.

What would I like to do tomorrow? I would like to dedicate a few more hours than usual to writing on my new Moleskine 18-month daily planner, and then a few more hours also writing here on The Dispatch. I have been successful in updating my planner for an hour daily, but I have been repeatedly writing here on the blog in under 10 minutes daily, and I think that needs to change.

As for writing while drinking and eating at Oversight, a different cafe, or at home, it will depend on the weather. It has been raining a lot this week, so I will see about that.

As for what I would like to do tomorrow that does not involve writing, I started watching The Punisher on Disney+ while I’m typing this, and I would like to keep watching it tomorrow. And maybe I should drink a Jack and Coke while doing that.

But crap. I ran out of Jack and Cokes. I should buy some.

30-Minute Warning IX

Last time, I said that I feel tired physically and mentally. What about today?

Well, physically I’m still tired. I went out at 1pm and I was supposed to pay for a traffic ticket at a specific bank. But then the clerk and security guard told me to go to a payment center 2 km away from the bank. I had a hard time looking for a jeepney, so I walked from the bank to the payment center. And then when I arrived at the payment center and inquired if I could pay for the ticket, I was told that I need to go to the city where the ticket was issued.

Good grief. My heart sank and my legs are sore because I was walking and inquiring all around from 1 to 3pm. I told my family on the phone what happened and that I can’t pay for the ticket today, and they understood. Thank you, family.

As for how I am mentally, I feel better now. After running errands, I went to my favorite cafe Oversight and I had my late lunch: a tasty BLT and a refreshing house blend iced tea. I’m sure I said it before, but let me say this again: One of my favorite weekly habits is hanging out, dining, and writing at Oversight. Thank you, my favorite spot and safe space.

After that, I went home via FX. And then the rain poured heavily. Crap. I can hear the heavy rain punching the car roof even if I have my earphones on. Good thing I have my foldable umbrella so I can brave the rain somehow. An hour after the FX ride, I arrived home safely. My slacks and shoes got wet, but at least I’m home now.

30-Minute Warning VIII

So, what can I say here in under 30 minutes?

I’m capping off a pretty eventful few days with a can of Jack Daniel’s and Coke and a viewing of episode 1 of Secret Invasion, the newest Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries. I don’t usually drink a Jack and Coke on a Friday night, but this is a nice change of pace.

About the recent job interview and design test: I was able to submit the test mockups on time. And 30 minutes after I sent those, I got another scheduled interview on Monday, 9:00 am. If I remember correctly, it will be handled by a social media executive. Wish me luck!

Tonight, I’m supposed to go out and see my favorite busker at BGC, but I took a 2-hour nap and I woke up a bit late. Good thing there’s a live stream though, and as for seeing said busker live, there is always a next time.

What else? I gave my sole bottle of Jägermeister to Younger Brother so he can bring it to a potluck party. I think Youngest Brother will also go to the same party. And I can always buy another bottle just like how I can always buy another can of Jack and Coke. Have a nice party, my brothers!

Lastly, I have been to Oversight twice this week. I had a matcha latte last Tuesday, and then I had a BLT and iced chocolate last Thursday. Will I go there again tomorrow or on Sunday? I don’t know, but I don’t have to. Having a single hangout time there once a week is already enough.

And time’s up.
