30-Minute Warning XL

It’s been a while since I had a 30-Minute Warning post, and I’m already drunk from an upgraded version of The Devil’s Cup, The Devil’s Float. And I quote “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, “What do you wanna talk about?”

Firstly, I want to talk about my recent trips to Satchmi, my favorite cafe. The past few weeks, I tasted my beloved affogato plus a different drink. I drank their house blend iced tea (my second go-to drink) and their iced chocolate, and both are refreshingly sweet. I might order the iced chocolate more often if I need a break from their caffeinated drinks.

I also tried their seasonal drinks (if I may call it that), a raspberry mocha latte and a sakura matcha. Both piqued my curiosity, so I tried them. (Not all in one night though.) The raspberry mocha latte is… let’s just say, interesting. (Sorry, I’m terrible at describing my food and drink experiences down to the tiniest detail. I should work on that.) Anyway, as for the sakura matcha, I’m not much of a matcha drinker, but… imagine a transparent cup with matcha on top and a sakura pink liquid below. Lovely, right? And the greater thing is that it tastes just as lovely. I applaud the barista who made this!

Speaking of pink, after so many visits to the nearest Converse store, I saw a pair of pink Chuck Taylors, and they’re also on sale! Yes, I know, I’m a man who covers himself in monochrome, but I also mentioned in the post “XVII: The Deranged Writers’ Favorite Outfits of The Undertaker” (my most-viewed Diary post so far), that “I love a pop of color on any dominantly dark or light design”. There’s nothing wrong with color in my life every once in a while, and I also need to update my wardrobe. Also, I collected Chuck Taylors before, but now the only Chuck Taylor pair I have is all black (which I adore). I want a new pair.

Crap, my 30 minutes are almost up, and I want to enjoy The Devil’s Float more, so I’m ending this post now. See you in the next post, and have a nice weekend, everyone!

30-Minute Warning XXXIV

So, what can I tell here in under 30 minutes?

Since November 2024 started, I have been feeling better slowly. It must be because I started walking and jogging again on Three Trees. I already walked and jogged thrice in the past several days, which is a huge progress for me. It feels so good to sweat it out, and I will do my best to keep exercising through the holidays and beyond. (Even if I expect a lot of feasts this coming December. Fingers crossed.)

I also feel better lately because of productivity at work. Specifically, I worked on many proposals and billings without complaining, and I finished them before the first week of November ended. After almost 2 years of working in the family business, I can say that I finally got the hang of it. I’m glad I’m settled in at work and I’m helping out my Mother, Father and Younger Brother in many ways.

That being said, my clerical job’s salary sucks. Yes, at least I’m getting paid, but if I need earn more money, I can’t depend on a single form of income. I need to find another job. I need to find a part-time job that I can juggle with my current one so I can save more money and somehow spoil myself and my loved ones. Maybe it’s time to practice again a forte of mine, which is web and graphic design. Wish me luck.

Anyway, back to feeling better. I have many so reasons for feeling so, which is great. But… I will save those reasons (and stories) for a future post because my 30 minutes is almost up. In the meantime, I’m celebrating the start of my weekend with my favorite Jack and Coke Zero.

Oh, wait. Quickly, I will share another simple reason for me to feel better: Deadpool & Wolverine is coming to Disney+ this November 12. Fuck yeah!

Happy weekend, everyone!

30-Minute Warning XXXII

All right. What can I share here in under 30 minutes?

Yesterday, I could not finish my work because of overthinking. I wanted to get out at night to distract myself, so I did. I updated my journal while having my affogato at my favorite cafe Satchmi, and then I enjoyed watching Deadpool & Wolverine for the 2nd time. After all that, I went home at 12am, feeling better.

Speaking of work, I’m almost done with my work today – monthly billings, to be exact. Tomorrow I’m going on a printing and photocopying galore. Yes, my current clerical work (for the family business) is not exciting compared to my previous web/graphic design jobs, but at least it pays the bills and I can save money.

What else? Oh, I forgot to mention: Because of Deadpool & Wolverine, I went on a Ryan Reynolds movie marathon last weekend. Specifically, I watched R.I.P.D. (Rest In Peace Department), The Hitman’s Bodyguard, The Change-Up, and, of course, Deadpool and Deadpool 2. Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool, man. As for the other Reynolds movies I have watched, I truly enjoyed The Hitman’s Bodyguard’s action scenes and overall story, and I don’t know what to say about R.I.P.D. and The Change-Up… for now.

And that’s it. That’s all for now.

Maybe I should watch Deadpool & Wolverine for the 3rd time this weekend.

Well, yeah. That’s it for now. For real.
