30-Minute Warning XXIII

So, what can I tell here under 30 minutes?

Finally, after a few days of having an itchy throat, coughing, and feeling weak, now I’m well. Good thing I drank my medicine and had a lot of rest. And because I’m cured and the weekend is about to start, I will drink my favorite Jack and Coke. 1 glass. Or maybe 2. Or maybe 3? I missed drinking cold drinks. Fuck yes!

Anyway, what happened at that birthday party in Laguna last Wednesday? Well, it was peaceful but fun. It was the nth birthday of my Father’s friend, Lolo Roel, in heaven. It was nice having pizza and soft drinks with my Father, Mother, cousin Yan, and Lolo Roel’s family while we caught up with current events and reminisced about the good times. After that, we ate and talked more at the nearest Teriyaki Boy before going home.

Happiest birthday in heaven, Lolo Roel. Thank you and your family for caring for me when I was 1-4 years old while my parents worked afar. I had a speech problem when I was little, but you and your loved ones never find it annoying and difficult. All of your beloved love you and miss you so much.

As for how my day went today: I’m supposed to start working on my monthly billings, but I got lazy. I will start during the weekend. Or Monday morning. Whatever. I shouldn’t worry about work because it’s the weekend! Yes!

Erratum (May 3, 2024): I’m not supposed to edit my Minute Warning post, but I had a tiny error that needs editing. In the 1st sentence, I typed “10 minutes” instead of “30 minutes”. My bad.

Song of the Moment XXV: LunchMoney Lewis’ “Bills”

Today, before I went to Laguna with my Mother, my Father, and cousin, I got my salary. For a moment, I was happy, but then I remembered…

I got bills I gotta pay
So I’m gon’ work, work, work every day

10-Minute Warning XCVI

So, what can I tell here under 10 minutes?

Well, at work, I finally finished scanning all the needed quotations. Tomorrow, I will run errands.

After work, I joined my Mother, Younger Brother, cousin and maid in going to Ayala Triangle Gardens. We had some caffeinated drinks at a newly-opened spot, attended Night 4 of the anticipated Simbang Gabi, and then we watched the lights show (something the family and I usually do every year). After the lights show, we had some pizza and pasta for dinner.

We got home at 10pm, and I’m so tired. I will start re-watching one of my favorite shows ever, Chuck.

And time’s up.
