10-Minute Warning CXI

All right. What can I share here in under 10 minutes?

I have been sick since yesterday. I have been coughing, I have an itchy throat, and I feel so weak. Thank goodness I don’t have that much work today, so I spent most of my day resting. I also drank Bioflu and an African Sea-Coconut cough mixture to heal more quickly… and it worked. As I type this, I feel much better now, though I still cough a bit. That means no cold drinks for me (still) – specifically, no Jack and Coke this Friday night. Oh, well. I hope to be 100% tomorrow or on Sunday.

After writing this post, I will watch one of my all-time favorite movies, the buddy cop action comedy Hot Fuzz. It is one of my comfort movies; I have seen it more than 5 times, and it has helped me get through my 1st noted bout with depression. Thank you, Prime Video, for having Hot Fuzz. You are the best.

Happy weekend, everyone!

Notes to Self X

Today, the day before my 33rd birthday, I’m starting to feel more excited. Gone are the days when I got worried about party venues and ruined plans because now everything is all set. I’m looking forward to having a simple Italian dinner party with my family and a few of my closest friends.

Other than my excitement for my birthday party, what happened today? I started working on a few November billings and then capped off the day with a viewing of Doctor Strange with my Father. While we were watching, I was reminded of a quote from The Ancient One (played by Tilda Swinton) bout having inner demons.

This is my 10th Notes to Self.

Spoiler warning if you have not seen Doctor Strange.
