Spoiler warning if you have not seen Person of Interest’s series finale “return 0”. You have been warned.
After all the afternoon tasks that flooded me suddenly (notably, that sudden submission of a file to an office), I’m tired and somehow sad. So I went to my favorite cafe Satchmi to have a pick-me-up in the form of a tasty affogato, and I started feeling better. But that dark cloud is still there, so I listened to one of the few songs that makes me relaxed and miserable at the same time, “Metamorphosis: One”, a piano masterpiece by Philip Glass.
I’m so glad that I found this instrumental in Person of Interest’s series finale “return 0” – at the scene where ex-CIA agent John Reese sacrificed himself uploading The Machine’s copy to the satellite, destroying the evil AI Samaritan, and saving his employer and friend Harold Finch from sacrificing himself. That heartbreaking scene made me cry. Thank you, my all-time favorite series.
And to you, dear reader, please watch Person of Interest if you haven’t. What an underrated show.
That is all.
