Notes to Self VI

Hello there! I’m The Deranged Writer, and welcome to the 6th edition of Notes to Self – a blogging series where I quote something relevant from a form of media (e.g. a movie or a series) or someone I know in real life.

And in this edition, once again I would like to quote my favorite professional wrestler of all time, The Undertaker.

Sometimes it is hell trying to get to heaven.

The Undertaker to Shawn Michaels, WWE SmackDown (March 3, 2009)

The Undertaker’s match against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25 is my favorite pro wrestling match of all time. The buildup to that match is just as amazing as the match, and one of my favorite parts of the buildup is The Undertaker telling Michaels the above quote, and it stuck with me ever since. Why? Because The Undertaker is right. Sometimes it takes hard work and going through rough times (it is hell trying to) to get to what you want in life (get to heaven).

Do you want to share any quotes that I should keep in mind? Let me know in the comments section below or on my socials (FacebookInstagram, and X). You can also share your quotes through email at therealderangedwriter@gmail.com.

Yes, he wears a mask sometimes. And according to most people, he looks like Bruno Mars when he is unmasked. Absolutely deranged, below-average writer.
