10-Minute Warning XII

So, what can I type in here in under 10 minutes?

Unfortunately, 10 minutes is all I have. I feel lazy to work, do chores or even write this post. But I must because I don’t want to ruin my blogging streak that started last February 6. So, I’m writing about my laziness to write here.

I don’t know why I became so lazy after weeks of blogging frequently. Maybe it’s the summer heat sucking my energy. Maybe it’s because I got used to eating and sleeping more during my week-long vacation in Cagayan. Or maybe it’s both. All I know is that I’m so fucking lazy. I hope I can eliminate this laziness in the next post due Wednesday.

Now that’s said, what happened in my life today? Nothing much. I did a bit of work, then I joined Mother and Younger Brother in running errands. After that, I had my favorite affogato at Satchmi even if I have a bit of a cold. (Don’t worry. I don’t have COVID-19. According to 2 rapid tests, I tested negative.) It feels good to be back in my favorite cafe after a week away from the city, even for just a few minutes.

And time’s up.

10-Minute Warning XI

Well, what can I type here in under 10 minutes?

For the 1st time since I started blogging more frequently, I feel so lazy to write. But I think it would help me stop being lazy if I talk about it here. Right, Dispatch? Thank you for understanding. Now I’m ready to write again.

Oh! Today was a bit productive at work. Around lunchtime, I joined Father in surveying a condominium for the 2nd time. And this time we have company – air-con technicians from another firm. I believe my dad is overseeing the whole installation? We will return to the condo and check the installation process tomorrow morning.

After today’s survey, Father and I went home, ate some air-fried chicken, and napped. We woke up at 6pm, and our local version of Family Feud was on TV. We were supposed to go to the mall with Mother and have a haircut tonight, but perhaps we all got lazy. I hope we can have our haircut before we leave for our Cagayan trip this coming Saturday.

Speaking of Saturday, last Saturday, March 25, I was sad. Why? March 25, 2019, was the day I almost died, and March 25, 2022, was the day the drummer of my favorite band Foo Fighters, Taylor Hawkins, died. I’m supposed to write about what happened to me and a tribute to Taylor, but I’m too sad to even start a draft. Maybe next time.

And time’s up.

10-Minute Warning VIII

So, what can I type here in under 10 minutes?

Well, let me start with something related to work: today marks 2 months of being in the family business. And I got my salary this morning – a day after salary day! And no, I’m not complaining. At least I got paid. However, I do hope for earlier pay next time.

Speaking of the family business, maybe I should make a post about it soon? Maybe I should because I’m not planning on staying in the company for another month or 2, but it would be nice to look back at helping my family.

What else? Oh, right. I was planning on blogging today at my favorite cafe Satchmi after running errands. But now that I’m blogging right now at home, I’m not sure if I need to bring my laptop while doing my quick trips. I’ll make my final decision after having lunch and another cup of coffee or vanilla-flavored Energen.

Going back to my salary, I’m proud to say that since January 2023 I have spent less than PHP 1,000 or lower per week. Sometimes I spend nothing. Why am I so proud? Let me compare the 2023 version of myself to the 2014 version of myself: my old self would spend a lot of money on new Funko Pops per week. I’m so proud, man.

Speaking of Funko Pops, I pre-ordered this cool Undertaker/Paul Bearer two-pack set last December and I still haven’t received any updates from the store. That’s all right though. At least I’m on the pre-order list. I just have to wait. And when I pay for the set (in April, I think), that will mark my 1st big purchase for 2023. Lately, I have been saving more than spending less, so I think I deserve a reward.

And thank you, Funko, for making figures of the purple-gloved Undertaker (one of my favorite Taker eras) and Paul Bearer (my favorite pro wrestling manager)! I’m looking forward to picking up the item soon!

And time’s up.
