Song of the Moment XLVI: Linkin Park’s “The Emptiness Machine”

Tonight, let me enjoy the incredible energy and sound of “The Emptiness Machine”, the newest song from one of my top 5 favorite bands of all time, Linkin Park.

After 7 long years, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, and Joe Hahn are back with a new co-vocalist and drummer, Emily Armstrong (of Dead Sara) and Colin Brittain, and I’m so happy about their return. I love the new single “The Emptiness Machine” (it’s on repeat as I type this), and the band’s performance on their recent concert livestream is breathtaking. They still sound perfect live, and Ms. Armstrong’s vocal ability (especially when she sang the LP classics) made their performance sound fresh but still passionate. I’m sure our beloved Chester Bennington is so proud and smiling from above.

I’m so pumped for the upcoming Linkin Park album From Zero (which will be released on November 15, 2024), and I hope the band includes the Philippines in their world tour soon.

Welcome back, Linkin Park!

10-Minute Warning XXII

So, what can I say here in under 10 minutes?

Last weekend, I mostly felt like shit, thanks to a Twitter block. Yeah, I know. It’s so shallow. But in my previous post, I expounded on what happened and how it affected me mentally (though I locked it out for everyone to see for now.) If it weren’t for my family, friends, and a then-upcoming Foo Fighters live stream at Veeps, well… let’s just say I’m super thankful for them.

Speaking of being thankful, this week I will start a new blogging series where I list down things and people I’m thankful for. It’s somehow inspired by an Instagram post by gamer, musician, and cosplayer Ashley Gosiengfiao. The new series will be called Gratitude Log.

And speaking of Foo Fighters, they have a free global live stream on Veeps that you can watch on-demand until May 25, 2023, at 3am (Philippine time). In the live stream, they revealed the legendary rock band’s new drummer Josh Freese and they played a few old songs and new songs like “Rescued”, “Under You” and “Nothing at All”. Check this link out and enjoy the show while it’s still up!

Also, I’m lazy to work on a featured header image for this post. I will upload one tomorrow.

And time’s up.
