10-Minute Warning VII

So, what can I type here after publishing the 6th 10-Minute Warning Post an hour ago?

Well, this week, with the exception of my favorite song of all time and alarm clock music, Foo Fighters’ “The Pretender”, it has been fun listening to Bruno Mars’ music from his studio albums to his collaborations with Mark Ronson and Anderson .Paak (as Silk Sonic). And no, the period before Paak is not a typo. And I enjoy Mars’ music not because most people have been telling me I look like him. I enjoy his music because they are totally good music. His music sounds vintage fun yet modern, and there is no Bruno Mars song that I don’t like. And yes, Bruno Mars is as mainstream as he can get, but I believe more people should listen to his music. Most friends of mine listen to music. So why not add more?

That being said, I should listen to Snoop Dogg’s `debut and best album (in my opinion) Doggystyle. I’m not kidding – that hip-hop album got me through a rough 2016, the year I was diagnosed with clinical depression. And the album is available again on my trusty music app Spotify, so why enjoy listening to the album like I used to? Thank you, Snoop Dogg, for making Doggystyle available on Spotify again.

As of this typing, I still feel buzzed from all 5 glasses of my beloved Jack and Coke and I’m only at home. And you know what? It’s fun! And I also feel more confident when I’m drunk as fuck. I think they call that “liquid courage”? I don’t think I will properly remember how I write this shit.

Also, I should type this in: I should save some money for a Motorino, a portable record player from my favorite cafe Satchmi. I have been going to the cafe since God knows when, but I still have not bought their Motorino. I hope to buy one before 2023 ends. Wish me luck!

And time’s up.

10-Minute Warning VI

So, what can I say under 10 minutes and after drinking 5 Jack and Cokes?

I’m currently typing this while listening to the 3rd album of my musically-talented doppelganger Bruno Mars, 24K Magic. And you know how I feel right now? I’m so buzzed, so relaxed, yet like in my element. And yeah, I know that not having friends around while feeling drunk sounds lonely. But at least I don’t get to spend more money drinking one of my favorite drinks. But I do plan on getting drunk with my friends and brothers when I earn enough money to do so. Right now, I only have less than enough money to buy the Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile deluxe – the one with the Batsignal.

What else? Well, tomorrow I’m going to my favorite cafe Satchmi early. Early afternoon, OK? I can’t go there at 3pm because Mother is going to BGC with her friend and I want to be there as well. And I can’t spend more than PHP 500 as well. As I said, I only have less than enough money to buy the Batmobile deluxe that I want to buy.

And this coming March 16 marks 2 months of being in my family’s company. And I’m not planning to go beyond 3 months. But I’m not sure. I still haven’t found a new job yet. And 2 people have reached out on LinkedIn for a possible job interview. I will reply to them this coming Monday, March 13. Wish me luck!

And crap. I just ran out of Jack Daniel’s. I need to buy a bottle this coming week. Wish me luck on that one as well!

And time’s up.

10-Minute Warning IV

So, what can I say in ten minutes after reading the last 10-Minute Warning post?

Oh, God. After waking up at 12pm, I don’t feel so good. On a Saturday, I get to drink an average of five glasses of my favorite Jack and Coke. But last night, my stupid self went for eight. What the fuck am I thinking?

Anyway, I finally got to watch Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings while eating some chicken tinola. I don’t want this post to be a movie spoiler, so I simply have to say this: I love the action scenes and how the movie introduces a new part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The MCU is really good at world-building.

After watching, I took a cold bath and changed clothes. I feel a bit better now, but I want to feel better. So today I’m going to my favorite cafe and safe space, Satchmi. I cannot complete a week without going there, having my favorite affogato, and writing in my journal. I just hope I can find a seat right away because there are a lot of people hanging out there on weekends. (I’m happy that Satchmi’s business is doing great, though.)

And time’s up.
