10-Minute Warning XIV

So, what can I type here in under 10 minutes?

Oh, yes. Because I have been coughing for a week, I went to see the doctor yesterday. And thank goodness I did. The good news: I don’t have COVID-19. The not-so-good news: I have to drink 5 medicines for my cough and cold plus asthma. (It’s official: my asthma is back after so many years.) I know that’s a lot of medication, but at least I know what to do to get rid of my sickness. I hate being sick.

Father and Younger Brother also went to see the doctor because they have been coughing like hell as well. They were given fewer prescriptions than I did. I’m envious somehow, but at least they don’t have to deal with many meds like I do. And thank goodness they don’t have the coronavirus.

As for Mother, she doesn’t have coughs or colds. Thank goodness. I hope I don’t infect her or anyone else in the coming days. I’m currently wearing a face mask at home to be safe.

Also, I printed a lot of documents while dealing with a shitty Internet connection. I had to reset the modem, connect my laptop to the printer wirelessly, print the documents, and then do it all over again. And I did the process 5 times. Damn.

And here’s some other good news: the 11×17 print I ordered from my favorite cosplayer, Riki “Riddle” LeCotey, will arrive at home in just a few weeks. I ordered them last December 2022 as a birthday gift to myself and a “peace offering” to Ms. Riki because I greeted her with a happy birthday way too late. Then I had the prints shipped to my ShippingCart storage account, saved a bit of money for the item shipping from ShippingCart to my house for 2 months, and then finally had the item shipped to my house. I’m so excited to get my prints! Now I need to avoid death in the coming weeks.

And time’s up.

10-Minute Warning XIII

Well, so what can I share here in under 10 minutes?

Let me start with what happened today. Most of (my) daytime are dedicated to working for the family business, which is basically encoding data. Yesterday I started working on the monthly report and billing for March 2023, and, good grief, I had little to no energy to work. It was like I’m on autopilot. Good thing there is no hard deadline, I got enough rest, and then I continued and finished the reports today. The next task for tomorrow: print said reports.

I know I said in the 8th 10-Minute Warning post that I should write a post dedicated to my current job. I’m still working on it, and I hope I can finish it soon. (That’s what I said though with my Cagayan 2023 trip post. Forgive me, dear reader, and my Dispatch.)

What else? Oh yeah. Father, Younger Brother, and I will have a checkup tomorrow. The 3 of us have had coughs and colds for quite a while and we are worried. We are pretty sure it’s not COVID-19, but we are worried still.

And oh! This is the 13th 10-Minute Warning post, and 13 is one of my favorite numbers. Just sharing a DW fact.

And time’s up.

10-Minute Warning XII

So, what can I type in here in under 10 minutes?

Unfortunately, 10 minutes is all I have. I feel lazy to work, do chores or even write this post. But I must because I don’t want to ruin my blogging streak that started last February 6. So, I’m writing about my laziness to write here.

I don’t know why I became so lazy after weeks of blogging frequently. Maybe it’s the summer heat sucking my energy. Maybe it’s because I got used to eating and sleeping more during my week-long vacation in Cagayan. Or maybe it’s both. All I know is that I’m so fucking lazy. I hope I can eliminate this laziness in the next post due Wednesday.

Now that’s said, what happened in my life today? Nothing much. I did a bit of work, then I joined Mother and Younger Brother in running errands. After that, I had my favorite affogato at Satchmi even if I have a bit of a cold. (Don’t worry. I don’t have COVID-19. According to 2 rapid tests, I tested negative.) It feels good to be back in my favorite cafe after a week away from the city, even for just a few minutes.

And time’s up.
