10-Minute Warning CLXXXIV

I’m still nowhere near my battle station, so what can I write here under 10 minutes?

Today, after running an errand, I dropped by an old workplace (my first this 2025). I visited the office a few times after resigning in 2019, and today’s visit is the most unforgettable one ever.

I can’t describe everything that happened during my visit here on this post; not yet. But during my visit (and I stayed until closing time), I learned that a few people remember me after all these years. My old boss even remembered a tiny yet important detail about me, which totally surprised me. I also found out that somehow, parts of me still live in the workplace. Because of that, I was overwhelmed with joy and I cried a bit, too. (I didn’t cry in front of them, of course; I don’t want people to see me cry.)

Maybe I will talk about it in detail soon. We’ll see. But today has proven that there are people who acknowledge me, and they inspire me to keep going.

Anyway, I still have a few minutes to spare, but I’m ending this post now. Let me enjoy an affogato tonight. See you in the next post!

Listen IV: Saya’s “Natsu Shigure”

On the afternoon of June 30, 2025, I ran a few errands in the nearest business district. And when I was about to finish the final errand, heavy rain poured. I brought my portable umbrella (I always do because I’m vigilant in a way), but still… damn.

I waited several minutes for the weather to calm down, but I also wanted to go to Oversight early. So, I switched on my wireless earphones, opened my umbrella, pressed the shuffle mode on “My Favorite Songs” playlist on Spotify, went outside the building, hit the play button, and started walking. During my first steps, the sun slightly appeared while it was still raining.

The first song that Spotify played was the perfect soundtrack during that sunny yet rainy walk to my favorite cafe. What’s the song? It’s “Natsu Shigure” (夏しぐれ), my favorite song from Saya (冴夜), my recent favorite singer-songwriter hailing from Japan. “Natsu Shigure” means “Summer Drizzle” or “Summer Shower” in Japanese.

10-Minute Warning CLXVIII

Hello, Diary. Let me explain the lack of updates since Monday.

In my current job as an admin assistant, being busier during the first week of the month is pretty normal. But since this week started, I’m so swamped to the point that I don’t even have time to write here on The Diary or even offline. (Well, until now. I’m using my afternoon break to make time for blogging this quickly. And that’s it.) Yes, I also have time after work, but recently, I have been using that time to rest and take it easy. That is how busy I am lately.

I hope to find more blogging time this coming weekend… or perhaps tomorrow because I have a lot of things on my mind.
