I cannot believe this. I’m actually blogging at noon!
Now let’s start with what happened this morning…
What Got Me Up Early in the Morning
As I said in a previous post, I have been making changes in my life slowly. One of those things is that I need to wake up early for work. I need to wake up at 9:00am at the latest, and then gradually try to wake up at 8:00am (the start of office hours in the family business).
But last night I slept early, got enough sleep to recharge my whole being, and then I woke up around 6:00am without feeling groggy. 6:00am! Can you believe it? 2007 Deranged Writer, a true nocturnal, would say to me, “Who the hell are you?”
And to get me out of my bed the moment I opened my eyes, I opened my Spotify and played my favorite song of all time, “The Pretender” by Foo Fighters, made my bed, and drank a cold glass of water. It’s so energizing to my whole being whenever I open the day with my battle anthem and cool water. After that, I proceeded with my other morning rituals (including breakfast, of course) and then went to slay some billings at work.
Also, even my Mother, Father, and Younger Brother were shocked that I was up early. Hello, new me.
Rediscovering Other Music Artists (Again)
One of my resolutions this 2025 is to listen to at least one different music artist per week. I started rediscovering Craig David, My Chemical Romance, Rise Against… and then I lost track. Since then, I have settled for just listening to my favorite songs.
But this week, I’m restarting my music resolution. What’s my different band/singer this week? The hard rock supergroup Black Country Communion. And upon looking at their discography on Spotify, I learned that they have released three more studio albums. (I only heard Black Country Communion and Black Country Communion 2.) Damn. I have a lot of catching up to do.
And now I’m going to have lunch. See you in the next post and have a nice week ahead!
