Song of the Moment LI: Coheed and Cambria’s “God Send Conspirator”

Sorry again for the lack of updates lately, Diary. One reason behind that is laziness. But since I promised to meet my monthly blog count and have only blogged 5 times so far this month, I’m forcing myself to write tonight until the end of October.

Anyway, recently I finished listening to Linkin Park’s most recent studio albums: Living Things, The Hunting Party, and One More Light, and it was a wonderful sound journey. And last Monday I moved on to another favorite musical act: the progressive rock band Coheed and Cambria. I started listening to their 1st studio album The Second Stage Turbine Blade, but I never finished it until tonight. As I type this, I’m listening to the album’s last track and a favorite Coheed track of mine, “God Send Conspirator”.

An audio of Coheed and Cambria’s “God Send Conspirator”.

That is all for now. See you tomorrow.

Song of the Moment XXIX: Linkin Park’s “One More Light”

Today was a productive day for me. I sent some repair proposals, ordered some materials needed for tomorrow, and went to the bank. And tonight I feel tired and in a mellow mood. What is my Song of the Moment this time? It’s “One More Light”, the last single of Linkin Park with vocalist Chester Bennington.

I don’t think I have mentioned this in The Diary, but Linkin Park is one of my top 5 favorite bands ever and Chester Bennington is one of my top 3 singers ever. Linkin Park’s songs have been an integral part of my teenage years (and beyond that) and they give me catharsis and comfort. “One More Light” is no exception.

If they say
Who cares if one more light goes out?
In the sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone’s time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
Or quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do

Rest in peace, Chester. We miss you.
