30-Minute Warning XXIV

All right. What can I write here under 10 minutes?

I will tell you what happened today: After lunch, I went to the mall and waited almost 2 hours for a work permit. Good thing I have a phone to kill time with. After that, I had a tasty baked ziti and a refreshing house blend iced tea at my favorite cafe Satchmi. After my late afternoon snack, I updated my journal. Then after that, I bought a Coke Zero 2L for my weekly Jack and Coke – something I’m drinking right now as I type this. Hell yes.

What else? Oh! Before I went home, I checked some tech stores that sell 2 of the phones I might buy: a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra or a S24+. Specifically, I checked the official Samsung store and a third-party shop (if I may call it that).

Both stores offer the same price for both devices, but one offers what the other cannot: a travel adapter. Apparently, both S24 Ultra and S24+ have a USB-C to USB-C cable, a SIM ejector tool… and no adapter. Damn. But I may need to check other stores before pulling the trigger. Wish me luck?

And to close this post, I think it’s time to get my custom Funko Pop 2.0. Might.

That is all. Happy weekend!

Song of the Moment XXVI: Linkin Park’s “QWERTY”

Last April 12, 2024, Linkin Park released their greatest hits album Papercuts. Aside from their hits like “One Step Closer”, “Faint”, and “What I’ve Done”, the album also includes “QWERTY”, a song from the fan-club exclusive album LP Underground 6.0 and one of my favorite deep cuts (if I may call it that) from the band. I’m so glad they finally released it on digital streaming.

You hide behind lies
You don’t know why
You crossed the line
Wrapped up inside your lies
You hide behind lies
You’re lost inside that cold disguise
Behind your lies

Linkin Park’s “QWERTY”
The official visualizer of Linkin Park’s “QWERTY”.

Now, let me headbang all night while listening to this heavy masterpiece.

10-Minute Warning CXVII

OK. What can I tell here in under 10 minutes?

Nothing much. While working on billings today, I was thinking: Should I buy a new phone? Specifically, should I buy a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra or a S24 Ultra?

Despite a minor screen problem, my current phone – a Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G – still works well and it has a great camera for a mid-range phone. But I have been using said phone for 3 years, and I think it’s time for a change? Also, the S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra are faster, their screens are bigger, they have better camera specs, and their Galaxy AI seems cool.

Damn it. I have to decide before the Japan trip… or maybe later. Why am I overthinking this? God help me.

And that’s it. That’s all I can say.
