Hi! I’m The Deranged Writer. Welcome to the 1st edition of Notes to Self! This segment is where I remind myself of a relevant quote or a simple reminder. And that quote can be from any media or someone I know in real life.
In this 1st Notes to Self, I would like to share one of my favorite quotes of all time – from one of my favorite movies, Batman Begins.
Spoiler warning if you haven’t seen Batman Begins. If you don’t mind being spoiled, go ahead.
In the movie, the quote was said first by the father of Batman/Bruce Wayne, Thomas Wayne, and then it was brought up again by Alfred Pennyworth, Batman’s butler and confidante.
Why do we fall (Bruce/sir)? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up.Thomas Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth, Batman Begins (2005)
Simply put, we fail, learn from that failure and then rise and persevere. Thank you, Batman Begins, for the memorable quote.
Would you like to share a quote or reminder that I should remember? Send your quotes and reminders in the comments section below or email me at email@example.com.
Until next time! I’m The Deranged Writer and you’re not.
