The Man

Reading Time: 1 minute

The Man comes around
Earliest she found
Chose tights over gown

The Man comes around
Left early off town
Follow her heart’s sound

The Man comes around
Decades she got pound
Her spirit burned down

The Man comes around
She came back to town
She need to calm down

The Man comes around
The soonest she found
Straight fire background

The Man comes around
She went to second round
In first place she mound

The Man comes around
Her smile turned to frown
Flame’s not burning down

The Man comes around
She gave a countdown
Those who are in doubt

The Baddest looked down
The Man comes around?
The Man got called down

The mad Queen went down
The Man wants her crown
All chaos broke down

It’s gonna fall down
Their power outbound
House burned to the ground

The Baddest taken down
The Queen lost her crown
The Man comes around

Hail from first town
The Man came around
She’s now the foregound

Congratulations to the new Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion, “The Man” Becky Lynch, the winner of the first-ever women’s main event of WrestleMania! Here’s to a lengthy reign; two championship titles look great on her!

And better luck next time perhaps, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.  Ω

Fast Forecast I: WWE WrestleMania 35

Reading time: 3 minutes, 20 seconds

One of my weaknesses when it comes to writing is make a decent pro wrestling review or prediction post. I needed to make sure that every information and every graphic is on the piece, and it can take a day to do so. But because of my day job, and then my mental health issues became worse, I really can’t make time for writing about a lot of things, let alone writing ‘rasslin.

Writin’ ‘Rasslin. Sounds like a blog segment I can do. Dibs!

But since getting confined at the hospital for two weeks, I have been writing a lot of poems and becoming more comfortable writing lengthier pieces. And then I thought, “maybe I should take another shot at predicting the match results of WrestleMania 35?” I mean it is going to happen tomorrow April 7. (That’s Sunday night in the US, and that’s April 8, Monday morning in the Philippines.)

And then I reviewed the match card, and it has 16 matches. SIXTEEN goddamned matches. Are you kidding me? I have little time to run down every buildup for every match and then have the match graphics edited within the day. It’s just impossible! (sighs)

With that in mind, let me introduce my countermeasure on such scenario: a new segment called Fast Forecast, where I list down all the matches on a Pay-Per-View event on a table format, and then highlight my predicted winner in crimson red. Sounds good? I think so. (I should have done this a long time ago though.)

Now. Here. We. Go!
